Begin with a blank space
You do not need to design your whole life before breakfast. Open a fresh page, take a breath and write down whatever is taking up room in your head. An errand, a deadline, a person you want to call. Let it be an untidy list.
The point is to put those thoughts somewhere you can find them again. You can decide what to do with them after they are out of your head.
Choose one thing that would make a difference
Look at the list and pick one thing you would be glad to have done by the evening. Make it specific enough to start: “write the opening paragraph” is easier to act on than “sort out the project.”
Put that task at the top of your day in Solsty. The other tasks can stay on the list without all becoming urgent.
Leave a little margin
A calendar can be full while a day still feels unfinished. Leave some space between the things you plan. A late bus, an interesting conversation or the need for a slower lunch should not have to compete with a perfect schedule.
Leave room for the day you didn’t plan.
Try adding one thing that has no productive purpose at all: sit by a window, listen to a whole song or take the long way home.
Close the loop gently
At the end of the day, open your journal and write two sentences. What stayed with you? What can wait until tomorrow? A small record can be more useful than a long entry you keep postponing.
Move the unfinished task if you still want to do it. Cross it out if it no longer matters. Tomorrow gets to be its own day.
Make a little room for yourself.
